Jersey A-level results: Rise in top exam marks

The pass rate for top A-level marks in Jersey has risen, in contrast to a slight drop across the British Isles.

Students receiving A*-A grades in the island rose from 30.7% to 32.1%, while across the UK they fell from 26.6% to 26.3%.

The overall pass rate, which includes students who took the International Baccalaureate, dropped slightly by 0.1% to 99.4%.

A total of 474 Jersey students were entered for 1,420 examinations in 2013.
