HRH Prince Edward to celebrate Jersey Mace anniversary
Prince Edward, the Earl of Wessex, will visit Jersey in September to mark the 350th anniversary of the Royal Mace.
King Charles II presented the mace to Jersey on 28 November, 1663 in gratitude for his happy experiences in the island during his years in exile.
His Royal Highness will visit for two days, including a special States sitting in the Royal Square.
As part of celebrations, islanders will get the chance to meet Prince Edward as he greets youth and community groups.
His Royal Highness is the Master of the Worshipful Company of Gardeners and will visit private gardens and host an official dinner for gardeners.
The Earl of Wessex, the Queen's third son and fourth child, will be in Jersey on 16 and 17 September.
