Jersey wheel clamping ban 'a year away'
Wheel clamping in Jersey could be banned within a year, the home affairs minister has said.
The States originally agreed to stop the practice, carried out by some private land owners, in 2009 but the law has yet to be changed.
Senator Ian Le Marquand said an alternative to clamping, which could be a penalty points system, needed to be in place before it was banned.
But he said deterrents were still required to stop illegal parking.
