Example to headline Jersey Live festival
Singer and rapper Example is to headline the second day of Jersey's biggest festival as it marks its 10th anniversary.
He will headline on Sunday with support from The Cribs and Tom Odell. Fatboy Slim will headline on the Saturday.
Festival director Warren Le Sueur said Example was an "A-list booking".
The event is subject to gaining permission from the Bailiff's entertainment panel, which is required for events in Jersey.
Mr Le Sueur said: "With it being our tenth anniversary, we want this year's festival to be as much of a party as possible and Example's live shows make for some party.
"He's built up an impressive number of proper dancefloor anthems and has made the step up to headlining huge venues and festivals, so I think he makes an ideal Jersey Live headliner."
Previous headliners at Jersey Live have included Noel Gallagher, Kasabian, Madness, The Prodigy, Groove Armada and Basement Jaxx.
Organisers have also confirmed 20 year-old singer-songwriter Lewis Watson, performance poet John Cooper Clarke and The Specials frontman Neville Staple with his band.
Counterculture icon Howard Marks will also be reading his favourite children's stories.
There will be six stages at Jersey Live 2013 including the main stage and a dance arena.
The people behind Jersey Live also organised the Folklore festival in 2012, a mixed media event including poetry, comedy and music.
They said while that would not be happening in 2013 there would be a Folklore stage at Jersey Live for the first time.
