Jersey drivers warned of Victoria Avenue repairs

Hole in Victoria Avenue TTS said it was not sure how long the emergency repair work would take

Drivers are being warned of delays on Jersey's dual carriageway as work begins to fix a hole in the road.

A spokesman for Transport and Technical Services (TTS) said emergency repair work on Victoria Avenue would begin at 08:00 GMT on Saturday.

He said a team would be working to repair the sewer in the westbound carriageway of the avenue, near the garage at Bel Royal.

He has asked drivers to avoid the area if possible.

The spokesman said: "We are unable to be sure how long the repair work will take, however it is likely to continue at least through to Sunday."
