Jersey crop dancing festival cancelled due to weather
A festival to bless crops for the coming year in Jersey has been cancelled due to bad weather.
Morris men have danced annually in the island's orchards as part of a bid to improve apple harvests.
The custom, known as wassailing, was due to take place in five Jersey orchards, and involve drinking and the reciting of incantations.
David Le Maistre, one of the island's Morris men, said the ritual had been performed locally for about 20 years.
