Jersey food legislation consultation extended
A consultation in Jersey on regulating food supplements has been extended.
Public responses to proposed laws controlling the nutritional labelling of food and its advertising will be accepted until 25 January.
Val Cameron, the head of Health Protection Services, said if passed, the laws would clarify the country of origin and health claims of products.
She said not all products labelled as being from Jersey actually were, giving rise to questions of their safety.
