Jersey Police urge caution after St Saviour burglaries

Jersey Police have urged islanders to ensure new household goods are secure after two burglaries in St Saviour.

A TV and games console were stolen from a property on Fountain Lane and lap tops, jewellery and power tools were taken in the Highlands Lane area.

Det Insp Steve Langford said both incidents involved homes being targeted while the householders were off-island.

"We'd urge people to be careful during the festive period, when so many still have presents lying around," he said.

"The similarities of these cases are concerning but we're keeping an open mind about whether they are linked," he added.

The Police appealed to anyone who had information about the burglaries, or who were offered goods under suspicious circumstances, to contact the CID office or Crimestoppers.
