Jersey's politicians 'can sit on reform group'

Despite a small protest outside the States, chamber members have voted to allow politicians to sit on an electoral reform commission.

Deputy Montfort Tadier agreed with protesters who said having politicians on the group would lead to it not being independent.

But Constable Simon Crowcroft disagreed, saying politicians would need to be on the panel as they would have to vote for its recommendations.
