Emergency planning talks held with French politicians
Senior French politicians have visited Jersey to discuss regional issues and emergency planning.
Energy provision and environmental issues were also on the agenda.
Jersey's Chief Minister Senator Ian Gorst said it was important to have clear lines of communication with both the French and Guernsey governments.
"Should an emergency take place... we need to know how that can be communicated and what response we can make," he said.
The politicians from the French department of La Manche also had meetings with the Lieutenant-Governor General Sir John McColl at Government House and with the Bailiff Michael Birt at his chambers.
