The BBC in Jersey is holding a fundraising Christmas carol service.

The proceeds from the event will go to the BBC Children in Need charity.

Jersey's Bailiff, Michael Birt, will be the special guest and the carols will be led by the Band of The Island of Jersey.

The Festival Choir and the Parklife Choir are also performing, and the evening is presented by BBC Radio Jersey's Roger Bara.

The service at the Town Church on Wednesday 7 December will be one of the first times the church has been fully opened to the public following its five year restoration.

Limited tickets were available from BBC Radio Jersey reception but were all gone in a day.

The programme will be broadcast by BBC Radio Jersey at 14:00 GMT on Christmas Eve and repeated at 14:00 GMT on Christmas Day.
