Jersey people face six week wait to get a passport

People in Jersey renewing their passports are being warned it could take up to six weeks.

The Passport Office said the longer processing time for British Passports would remain throughout the summer and could increase in July and August.

Applicants are being asked to apply at least six weeks before travel and they do not need to wait until their passport expires before renewing it.

Any time left on an old passport can be added to the new one.
