A robber stole a woman's handbag containing about £5,000 in cash on the Isle of Man.

The robber struck in the service lane at the rear of the Rosemount Public House in Douglas at about 14:35 BST on Monday.

The woman, in her 50s, was left with minor injuries following a struggle.

The attacker has been described as white, 5ft 7ins tall and in his mid-20s. He had a dark stubble beard and was wearing a black hooded top.
