Ramsey motorcyclist died from multiple injuries

A motorcyclist died from multiple injuries following a high-speed collision with a car in the Isle of Man, an inquest has heard.

Neil Walker, a fireman from Ramsey, was on a Kawasaki when the collision occurred on the Laxey to Ramsey coast road near Bulgham Rocks on 6 August.

Coroner Jayne Hughes told Douglas courthouse the 43-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.

The inquest was adjourned with a date to be fixed.

Mrs Hughes sent her condolences to his family.

Mr Walker, a father-of-two, had served in the fire service for more than 22 years on the Isle of Man.

He was also known in the community for his work as a joiner.
