Castletown dog attack owner sought by police

Police are still searching for the owner of a dog which attacked a 70-year-old woman in the Isle of Man.

The victim was left with "significant injuries" after she was attacked by the dark-coloured "Staffie-style dog" in Castletown on Friday.

A police spokesman said they were working their way through a list of names supplied by the public.

The attack, which left the woman needing hospital treatment, happened on Victoria Road at 19:45 BST on Friday.

The dog is alleged to have bolted towards the lady whilst on an extendable lead.
