Man in court over indecent images of children

Douglas Courthouse Deputy High Bailiff Jayne Hughes adjourned the case for two weeks

A 22-year-old man has appeared in court in the Isle of Man on charges relating to indecent images of children.

Daniel Edward Kelly faces six counts of possessing, making and publishing indecent images of children between December 2012 and October 2013.

The charges relate to 271 images, 53% of which are in the most severe category, and six movies.

The former chef from Peel made an application for legal aid after he was dismissed by his employers last month.

Mr Kelly was bailed and will next appear in Douglas courthouse on 20 May.
