Man charged with Isle of Man pedestrian crash death

A 30-year-old man has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving after a woman was hit by a car and killed in the Isle of Man.

Police said the woman, who has not been named, was struck on the Tholt-y-Will Road on Saturday.

The driver, from St John's, will appear in Douglas courthouse later.

Det Insp Mark Newey said a second man who was arrested has been bailed. Police are not looking for anyone else in connection with the crash.
