A minute's applause will be held at all Isle of Man football fixtures this weekend in memory of Andy Cadwallader, the Isle of Man FA have confirmed.
The 49-year-old collapsed on the pitch at Castletown Stadium on 7 December during a Combination match against Union Mills.
He was given first aid but died before reaching hospital.
Castletown's Combination match against Corinthians will be postponed as a mark of respect.
Vice-President of the Isle of Man Football Association Tony Mepham said: "A minute of applause seemed more fitting to his character than a minute of silence.
"He was a very respected character of the Manx game and the FA did not hesitate to mark his passing.
"We all send our respect to his wife and three children and want to praise the work being carried out by Craig's Heartstrong Foundation".
Through local fundraising the local charity has supplied all football clubs on the island with the defibrillators.
Mr Mepham added: "It was used and kept him going at first. It is vital kit and really demonstrated how important it has the potential to be."
