Isle of Man inflation falls in September

Inflation rates in the Isle of Man have fallen for the fourth successive month, according to treasury figures.

The September figure showed inflation at 2.4%, down from 2.6% in August and a annual peak of 3.3% in March and April.

During the past year island food prices have risen in price by 4.6% and household goods have risen by 7.3%.

The Isle of Man treasury report also showed the price of fuel (electricity ,coal, gas and oil) has fallen by 3.7%.

Over the past 12 months the cost of eating out has gone up by 3.6%.
