Liverpool pair charged after £170k Isle of Man drug seizure

Two women from Liverpool have been charged after drugs, thought to be worth about £170,000, were seized from a hotel in the Isle of Man.

Rebecca Skinner, 27, and Jenna McMullen, 24, were charged earlier following their arrest on Monday.

The drugs haul included £108,000 of cannabis resin and £62,000 of cocaine, police said.

The pair, who are being held in custody, are due in Douglas courthouse later.

Police said the arrests were part of a joint inquiry - Operation Ring of Steel - a partnership between the island's Pro Active team and Customs and Excise officers.

Det Sgt Paul Holland said it was a "significant seizure".
