11 September 2013 Last updated at 12:48 BST

The Isle of Man film festival 2013 will open on Wednesday celebrating the best of local talent.

Events including a variety of screenings, question-and-answer sessions, acting workshops and screen writing lessons will be held across the island.

The five-day festival will start with a preview of the debut feature 'Being Nice' by Manx-born filmmaker Andy Blackburn, previously short-listed by the BBC as new filmmaker of year.

Programmer Christie DeHaven says: "The level of talent we have is staggering for such a small island, and it is growing all the time."
