A multi-million pound revamp of a school in the capital of the Isle of Man has been approved by Tynwald.
Ballakermeen High School will use the £3.2m for an extension to accommodate an increase in sixth form students.
The school was awarded the money from the government's capital fund after Tynwald members voted in favour.
The scheme, due to be completed by October 2014, will provide four new classrooms, a larger dining room and extra tutorial space.
Ballakermeen is one of two high schools in Douglas and currently has about 1,500 pupils.
Plans have already been shown to local residents.
