Isle of Man ploughing match entrants mark 150th anniversary
The Manx ploughing season traditionally takes place at the beginning of each year.
Up to 20 competitors will take to the fields later to mark 150 years of ploughing matches in one of the Isle of Man's parishes.
The Marown Royal Ploughing Match Society is holding the special one-off event at Ballafreer in Union Mills.
It begins at 10:00 GMT with about eight horse entries and 12 tractors.
Organisers said all ploughing should be finished by 15:00 GMT at the latest - any competitors not finished by this time will be disqualified.
