Fire at a garage on Balthane Industrial Estate
A number of homes and businesses were evacuated and roads closed after a fire at a classic car restoration business in the Isle of Man on Monday.
Fire crews were called to a burning car outside a garage on the Balthane Industrial Estate at around 17:00 GMT.
Whilst fighting the fire officers identified oxy-acetylene cylinders and with help from police established a 200 metre evacuation zone.
No one was hurt in the fire, police said.
After an extended period of remote water cooling the Fire and Rescue service confirmed that the cylinders were safe at 08:00 GMT.
