A road in the south of the Isle of Man has reopened after engineers worked to fix a gas leak, discovered on Thursday.

The route between Four Roads and Ballafesson Road became one-way into Port Erin for the engineering work.

The leak was discovered after a resident of a nearby property reported the smell of gas.

Energy company Manx Gas apologised to motorists for any inconvenience and said the main road into Port Erin was now open both ways to traffic.
