Flybe suspends Isle of Man to Luton route

Flybe has confirmed it will temporarily suspend its service between the Isle of Man and Luton in the new year due to falling demand.

The airline said flights to Luton will resume as part of their summer programme in March.

Recent airport figures show a 30% decline in passengers using the service compared to the previous year.

The last departure to Luton from the island will be on 8 January, with the service resuming on 25 March.

Last month, Manx2.com announced plans to withdraw its services to Leeds-Bradford and Oxford for the first quarter of 2013, due to a seasonal drop in demand.
