Universal child benefits for Isle of Man residents will come to an end in 2014.

The Chief Minister made a speech setting out an Agenda for Change for the Island. He said: "The present system of universal benefits is no longer sustainable."

Director of Social Security Yvette Mellor said: "We need to target people who need it rather than people that don't necessarily, and could afford to look after their children on their own."
