Hyperbaric chamber staff gets MBE
David Downie has been named as one of five Isle of Man residents recognised in the Queen's Birthday Honours list.
The medical technologist has worked at the hyperbaric chamber, a life saving facility that helps divers and people with medical conditions, since it was set up in 1984.
"It's totally amazing, I've been doing this for a long time, enjoyed every minute, but why somebody should come along and give me such an honour, I'm dumfounded," he said.
