Isle of Man parents 'shocked' by education cuts
Plans have been unveiled in the 2012 Isle of Man budget to close one island primary school and withdraw funding for 11 pre-school facilities.
Parents have handed in a 3,600-signiture petition against the changes, which will bring about 30 job cuts within the education department.
Education Minister Peter Karran said a working group had been set up to find a solution for the 500 children that it impacts on.
BBC Reporter Kelly Foran spoke to concerned parents.
