The Isle of Man government has streamlined the penalty payment system, making it easier for people to pay their parking fines.

From 3 October all penalties issued by police or traffic wardens can be paid at post offices.

A spokesman said people must take with them the ticket and the car's registration details and the name and address of the car owner.

Payment can be made at any of the 25 post offices in the Isle of Man.
