Just one of the 10 contested seats in Guernsey's parish elections has been decided.

Robert Gill was elected by a show of hands ahead of Macarthur Hamel for the position of St Sampson's douzenier.

Elections for douzeniers in St Peter Port and St Saviour have been deferred until 20 November after requests at their parish meetings.

Those who stood for the other 33 uncontested seats were confirmed in their positions.
