Guernsey pedestrian trapped under taxi after crash
A woman was left trapped underneath a taxi after a crash in St Peter Port's Mill Street.
The 63-year-old pedestrian was freed by Guernsey Fire and Rescue Service before being taken to hospital.
Fire chiefs said she sustained "extensive injuries" and was taken to the Princess Elizabeth Hospital.
However, Guernsey Police said her injuries were not thought to be life-threatening.
They were unable to confirm eyewitness reports that the vehicle was empty at the time of the incident.
The junction of Le Bordage and Fountain Street - a main commuter route - was closed after the incident, which occurred just before 17:50 BST.
It was opened by Guernsey Police at approximately 18:50 BST.
