Dutch man charged with Sarah Groves murder in Kashmir
A Dutch national has been charged with the murder of a Guernsey woman in Kashmir.
Police in Kashmir said Richard De Wit, 43, had been charged with the murder of 24-year-old Sarah Groves.
She was found stabbed to death in a houseboat in Srinagar on 6 April.
Officers said Mr De Witt was charged on 3 June and was due to enter his plea when he appeared for the first court hearing on 15 June. The case is due to be heard in open court in Srinagar.
Mr De Witt is being held in the region's central jail having received treatment in a government-run psychiatric hospital.
Miss Groves had been living on the houseboat since February.
A memorial service is to be held for her at St James Concert Hall, in St Peter Port, on Saturday.
