Agreement over Guernsey's new night bus services
Bus drivers have voted against taking industrial action over new weekend night services being run by CT Plus.
As part of a summer timetable which comes into effect on Sunday, the services will link St Peter Port with the Bridge, Cobo and St Martin.
Drivers met to discuss a proposed pay freeze and concerns over driver safety.
Strike action was rejected and five drivers volunteered to operate the night services, which will run until 02:00 BST.
Bob Lanning, the regional officer of Unite the Union, said he was glad agreement had been reached.
However, he warned it could make it difficult for drivers to negotiate a new, higher rate for later shifts in future.
Camilla Poole, the company's operations manager, said: "When designing and producing the new routes, we have taken everything on board from the feedback we have received from the public."
