Meeting aims to avert bus strike in Guernsey
A last minute meeting has been set up for Sunday evening aimed at averting a strike by bus drivers in Guernsey on Monday.
Bob Lanning, from the Unite union, said drivers had raised concerns over changes to rotas and sign in and out times made by operator CT Plus.
The company said negotiations were amicable and it would keep passengers informed about the outcome.
Mr Lanning said he was hopeful the industrial action would not go ahead.
He said the company had moved away from plans to cut four-day weekends.
A number of drivers have been brought in from the UK and Europe and they use the long weekends to visit their families, who due to housing laws are unable to move over with them.
