Guernsey to Gatwick flight diverted after heart attack

A flight from Guernsey to Gatwick had to be diverted to Southampton after a passenger had a suspected heart attack.

A spokesman for the airline Aurigny said the passenger was met by paramedics before being transferred to hospital for further monitoring.

The remaining passengers on board the GR600, which left the island at 07:00 GMT, were taken to Gatwick by coach and the aircraft was returned to Guernsey.

Those on the early flight from Gatwick to Guernsey were put on a later flight.

This arrived in Guernsey at 10:56.
