The Green Acres Hotel, in St Martin, Guernsey, will close permanently at the end of October, its owners have announced.

A Lapwing Trading spokesman said the future of the site of the 43-bedroom, three-star hotel was being considered.

He said employees had been given notice of possible redundancy, but the option of employing them elsewhere in the company was being explored.

Those affected include five full-time staff and a number of seasonal posts.
