Sark drifting yacht crew rescued

The crew of a yacht which lost its mast off the Channel Island of Sark have been rescued.

The crew of the yacht Be Patient called Guernsey coastguards on Saturday afternoon saying that they were drifting with six people on board.

Local vessel Tranquil Waters and the inter-island ferry Brecqhou Lass went to the scene before the Guernsey lifeboat towed the stricken yacht.

The lifeboat and yacht arrived in St Peter Port at 15:15 BST.
