Road closures and parking suspensions will be enforced around St Peter Port for Liberation Day on Wednesday.

Guernsey Police announced that the town's seafront between the Weighbridge and the South Esplanade would be closed to all traffic from 08:00 BST.

They also said that access to Church Square would be via Fountain Street and would only be allowed after 12:00 BST.

Parking will be suspended on the Albert and Crown piers, but will remain available at the North Beach car park.

Drivers with disabled badges will be able to park in Row A of the North Beach car park and by the town bus terminus.

The buses themselves will run from Havelet Bay for the day and a park-and-ride system will operate up and down the Val des Terres.
