Man in hospital after house fire rescue in Guernsey

A man is in hospital after being rescued from a house fire in Guernsey.

Fire crews found him in the property in Les Monmains in St Sampsons at about 15:50 GMT on Saturday, Guernsey Fire and Rescue Service said.

He was admitted to intensive care at Princess Elizabeth Hospital suffering the effects of smoke inhalation, but is now in a stable condition.

The cause of the blaze is currently unknown and the investigation is ongoing.
