Guernsey hospital reports Legionella in water supply
Legionella bacteria has been detected in the water supply of Guernsey's Princess Elizabeth Hospital.
The island's Health and Social Services Department said the level of bacteria was higher than acceptable, and decontamination would take place.
It added that no patients or staff had been taken ill, and the bacteria posed a minimal health risk.
Dr Stephen Bridgman, director of public health, said the issue had not been detected elsewhere in the island.
