Ground investigations have been undertaken this week at the Oberlands, proposed site of the £26m project.

Richard Evans, the director of corporate services at Health and Social Services, said he hoped for States approval by the end of 2012.

He said construction could begin in 2013 and "early in 2015, we should be able to move in".
