Channel Islands Lottery jackpot rises to £711,000

The jackpot in the 2011 Channel Islands Christmas Lottery has increased to £711,000.

The figure is higher than any previous year at this stage and has increased sharply in the past week.

The draw takes place on 15 December and will include other prizes of £50,000, £25,000 and £500.

In 2011 the jackpot for the lottery, which covers the Bailiwicks of Jersey and Guernsey, reached £750,000.
