Blue Islands new route is refused by Alderney States

Blue Islands The committee suggested Blue Islands reapplied giving enough notice of the route's start date

Alderney States has refused a licence for Blue Islands to operate a passenger and freight service between Alderney and Southampton.

The Policy and Finance Committee decided the proposed start date of 27 March did not allow time for the impact of the service to be fully considered.

The committee advised the airline to reapply, but with a start date of at least six months after the application.

If successful the airline would operate the route in competition with Aurigny.
