Google Street View will visit Guernsey and Alderney

Google Street View is coming to Guernsey and Alderney shortly but only images, not wi-fi data, will be collected.
In May the firm apologised after admitting it had collected information sent over unencrypted wi-fi networks.
Now the company has reached an agreement with Guernsey's Data Protection Commissioner over its collection of data in the Bailiwick.
Google said there would be publicity before the images went online.
It said once the images had been collected, at a date yet to be confirmed, identifiable information such as faces and car number plates would be blurred.
This means it will be several months before the Guernsey pictures are published on Street View.
Google said islanders would have the opportunity to request that any images which may concern them be taken down or amended to remove any personally intrusive or offensive material.
Details of how to do this are on the Google privacy page and the Data Protection Commissioner said further information would be posted on the States website.
Anybody with any concerns is asked to contact the Data Protection Office.
