Kells crash: Man, 46, killed after collision in County Meath

A 46-year-old man has died in a two-vehicle crash near Kells, County Meath.

It happened at about 10:30 BST on Thursday, when the van he was driving collided with a lorry in the Lynch's Cross area.

He was pronounced dead at the scene. The body was removed to Our Lady's Hospital in Navan, where a post-mortem examination will take place.

The lorry driver was treated in hospital for injuries that are not life-threatening.

The road is closed and diversions are in place while a forensic examination is carried out.
