Aid convoy 'departs Russia for Ukraine'

A Russian convoy of 280 trucks carrying 2,000 tonnes of humanitarian aid has left the Moscow area bound for eastern Ukraine, according to Russian media.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Monday that Russia was launching a humanitarian mission in co-operation with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).
