Two men on motorbike killed in crash near Arles, County Laois

Two men have been killed in a road accident in County Laois in the Republic of Ireland.

A van and a motorcycle collided on the N80 Portlaoise to Carlow road, close to the village of Arles, at about 06:00 BST on Friday.

The two men who died are believed to have been the driver and a passenger on the motorbike. They were aged in their late 20s or early 30s.

The van driver was not thought to have been seriously injured.

Police have appealed for witnesses to contact them.
