Porosheko: EU deal marks real historic day for Ukraine

Ukraine's president Petro Poroshenko has hailed the signing of an European partnership agreement as the country's most historic day since independence in 1991.

The pact - which binds Ukraine more closely to the West both economically and politically - is at the heart of the crisis in Ukraine.

Mr Poroshenko also explained the significance of the pen which he had used to sign the agreement.
