Dublin: Man arrested after woman dies in 'hit-and-run' crash

A man is being questioned about a hit-and-run collision in Dublin in which a 40-year-old woman was killed.

GardaĆ­ arrested the man, who is in his 30s, on Saturday evening in Drimnagh, Dublin.

The woman was crossing Davitt Road, Drimnagh, near a tram stop when she was struck by a car at about 22:30 BST on Friday.

Police said the car did not remain at the scene. The woman was taken to St James's Hospital.
